Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s turn to act the villain in ‘Dhoom’ 3. At the same time Abhi and Uday will reprise their parts Dhoom is a excellent franchise, the majority of interesting and complete of enjoyment.

Each time I listen to the style melody of Dhoom it provides a action to my action.”Victor’s script genuinely won me over and I look forward to dealing with him, discussing screen spaceand working with Yash Raj and Aditya Chopra once again,” Bollywood actor Aamir Khan mentioned in a declaration.

Film’s producer Yash Chopra explained, “I am very happy with what an actor just like Aamir Khan will provide to Dhoom team with his special celebrity strength and level of overall performance.”

Producer of the film is Aditya Chopra and directed by Vijay Krishna, the movie will start capturing finish of this season and is planned for a 2012. Vijay Krishna has also written and directed ‘Tashan’. The flick will start shooting end of this year and is scheduled for a 2012.

Aamir replaces Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai series?

The ground below Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi's feet may have just shaken! News is that the original Munnabhai-Circuit jodi is being replaced, and Aamir Khan and Sharma Joshi are being considered to fill their shoes!

Aamir khan, Munnabhai
Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi were a part of the successful Munnabhai franchise that has had two releases till date - Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai. The teaser of the third too - Munnabhai Chale Amrika - has already been shot with Dutt and Warsi, however the lack of a good script has led to the projec being on hold.

If sources are to be believed, it's whilst the shooting of '3 Idiots' that Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra considered the option of casting Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi as Munnabhai and Circuit. The makers, apparently, thought that it would bring about a fresh change to the image and the franchise. In fact, we are told that Aamir was excited about the idea and was game if the script was good enough.

Well, let's wait and watch how this exactly works out for all in the industry, and if it works out at all in the first place.

'Sarfarosh', Andaz Apna Apna' have potential for sequels: Aamir Khan

Mumbai, July 9 : Superstar Aamir Khan claims that he is not against sequels but believes that the films like "Sarfarosh" and "Andaz Apna Apna" that have absolutely independent story to tell should go for it.

Aamir Khan, Bollywood Gossips, Andaz Apna Apna, Sarfarosh

"I don't have any objection in a sequel. If I have seen a story, the characters and I liked that, then I would like to know what happened to the character later," Aamir told IANS.

"If there is a possibility of an equally nice story, different from the first plot but using same characters, I don't mind making a sequel. Sequel should have an independent story."

"Like in my film 'Sarfarosh', what is ACP Rathod (his character) solving next? Or film like 'Andaz Apna Apna' has huge potential for a sequel. I am just stating but none of them has been worked out, so don't spread that their sequels are coming up," he added.

He himself is gearing up for the third instalment of "Dhoom" franchise, but every sequel should have an independent story, insists Aamir.

"This is one good sequel. Every 'Dhoom' has a different story. John comes, then Hrithik comes and now I have a different story," said Aamir.

After decades Aamir is again set to pen down a script.

He is shaping the story jointly with his filmmaker wife Kiran Rao and nephews Mansoor and Nuzhat Khan.

"I have worked as a co-writer in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'(1988), 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander' (1992), 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke' (1993). Once again I am writing a script with Kiran, Mansoor and Nuzhat. Four of us are writing together. It's an idea that came to me," said Aamir.

The 46-year-old maintains that if the script gets locked, Kiran would direct the film.

"Kiran would be directing it. It's quite a mainstream kind of film so it would be bit unusual for her also. Hopefully I would be acting in it too," he said.

"It's too early to decide. If the script gets locked in next five months, then I can say that we are making the film. That news I can give you in six months' time," said Aamir.

Aamir Khan celebrates success of 'Delhi Belly'

Mumbai, Jul 7: Bollywood actor-producer Aamir Khan celebrated the huge success of 'Delhi Belly', made his banner, along with the cast and crew of the newly-released movie last night.

Aamir Khan, Delhi Belly, Bollywood Gossips
The 'success' party was well attended by the entire cast including Imran Khan, Vir Das, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Shehnaz Treasurywala, Poorna Jagannathan, joint producer Ronnie Screwwala (UTV), director Abhinay Deo and writer Akshat Verma.

Speaking on the occasion, Aamir Khan said ''It feels great to see that the movie on which we have worked hard, has made people laugh. The hard work is totally worth it''.

He went on to thank everyone, from the writer to the director, to the actors as well as the technicians.

''At the end of the day, no matter what we do, it is the media that makes us or breaks us. The media has played a vital role in the success of the film'', Aamir said.

Actor Vir Das, who plays Arup in the movie, told UNI, ''Going bald for this film and dancing to the song 'Jaa Chudail' was the most difficult thing that I had to do, but right now I feel it has totally paid off.'' VJ and Actress Anusha Dandekar, who has a cameo in the film and can be seen shaking a leg with Aamir in the hit item song 'I hate you like I love you' said ''It was a huge surprise for me because when I signed on I had no clue I will get the chance to dance with Aamir. It was a great experience.'' Poorna Jagannathan, who earlier played a major role in the American show Royal Pains, said ''There is a huge difference between the two cinema's but luckily all my co-actors were very warm and down to earth. I experienced Chandni Chowk for the very first time and fell in love with it.'' Delhi Belly revolves around three room-mates played by Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor, who get caught in the wrong situations at the wrong time.

The film was released on July 1 and has been declared a huge hit by trade analysts.

Writers, directors share maximum credit for my success: Aamir

Bollywood Gossips, Aamir Khan
As an actor, producer and director, Aamir Khan hasn't gone wrong in past few years and the star says the writers and the directors of his movies should be applauded for the success.

"If you are saying Aamir you have so many successes, I am not a solo player. It's a team effort and in the team the two main people are not me - one is writer and the other is director," Aamir told IANS.

In the recent past, Aamir has produced unconventional films like "Peepli Live", "Dhobi Ghat" and recently released "Delhi Belly". All the films set the cash registers ringing.

"I don't have the magic touch. Yes, I have accepted those films and I have accepted the unusual films, so you can give me credit for that. I had the good sense to say yes to them, I had the good sense to work good in them and I was fortunate to have a good team in these films," he said.

Often referred to as Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir said: "There are many reasons for which the films have been successful. Every film of mine which has become successful has first originated in the mind of a writer with whom I have no connection, neither have I given the idea to him."

'Laagan' came in Ashutosh's mind and when he came to me, his script was totally complete and I loved it. My contribution to the script is zero. 'Peepli Live', 'Rang De Basanti', 'Taare Zameen Par' all of these films are written by different writers, some of them are writer-director together.

"Now, had not these beautiful scripts not come to me, I would have not been able to be part of these films. The other creative talents who have contributed to the success of the film also share the equal credit for it."

The 46-year-old is grateful to have so many successful films under his belt.

"I am very grateful that I have so many films that are successful and I feel that I am very fortunate," he said.

Delhi Belly review

Imran Khan, Delhi Belly, Aamir Khan, Bollywood Gossips, Delhi Belly Moview ReviewCast: Imran Khan, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Vir Das, Poorna Jagannathan, Shenaz Treasurywala, Vijay Raaz
Directed by Abhinay Deo
Rating: ***

Very rarely we come across a film that disgusts and delights in equal measure. A film that has us crinkling our nose, yet sticking a thumb up for approval. Delhi Belly is one such film. And though many of us feel, we're too old for potty humour, we're not. As you would imagine, Delhi's Belly manifests an upset stomach, rumbling constantly, warning you of its ominous contents. This sound can be roughly translated in words, by the song, 'I want to break free' by Queen.
The storyline is fairly uncomplicated for films in this genre. Parallel stories collide at certain parts but it seems natural and not Kukunoor-ish.  The film is about three Delhi bachelors, Tashi (Imran Khan), Arup (Vir Das) and Nitin (Kunaal Roy Kapoor), living in (by far) the filthiest bachelor pad constructed by any set designer ever.
Professionally, Arup is a cartoonist for an ad agency (weren't they called illustrators?), Tashi is a diligent journalist and Nitin is his photographer. Like every self-respecting bachelor, our lead trio has a sheer contempt for any household work and their landlord. Their routine life gets sticky once they get their shit mixed up (literally!) and deliver a wrong package. And just for fun, the wrong package is a stool sample!
Like 'Snatch', diamonds are the object of everyone's desire here too. But unlike 'Snatch', we just have one group of scums hunting for them that is headed by Somayajulu (Vijay Raaz). While they're on the run, they're joined by Menaka (Poorna Jagannathan) who hints on a subliminal relationship with Tashi but he's already going steady with doll-faced Sonia (Shenaz Treasurywala). Thankfully, this doesn't culminate into a love triangle.
A lot of people get seriously injured, a ceiling collapses, a few cars are dented but when you see a man with a live firecracker sticking out of his bum, you can hardly help yourself. Also you have Nitin taking dysentery to a level where the sound produced cannot be replicated by blowing into one's hand.
An aspect this film blatantly ignores is that our lead trio doesn't demonstrate Delhi-speak which is using voluminous and imprecise expressions in an idiotic fashion to say anything. But what it loses out in manner of speech, it makes up in visuals, as you see Delhi in its smuttiest and most deplorable avatar.
Among the cast, Vir is clearly the most talented and entertaining of the three and Imran is the least. Poorna is vivacious and lights up the screen with her personality and Shehnaz is, well, forced into ill-fitting clothes.
'Delhi Belly' is well-paced and the screenplay is cleverly woven to hold your attention and interest through the 96 minutes of its runtime. And although most songs are just used as a background score, 'Jaa Chudail' picturised on Vir's failed relationship is hilariously crazy.
This film may not be appetizing for all, but it surely has an appetite for potty sounds. A farting blockbuster for sure!

Amitabh Bachchan's film should be doubly successful: Aamir Khan

Kolkata, June 25 : Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan Saturday wished that Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan's film should enjoy double success than that enjoyed by his films.

"As far as Amitji's film is concerned I am big fan of Amitji myself. I am telling this from my heart that whatever success our film enjoys his film should enjoy double than that," he said, when asked to comment on Big B's upcoming film "Bbuddah... Hoga Tera Baap".

"Bbuddah.... Hoga Tera Baap" is a romantic comedy about an angry old man which is scheduled to release July 1.

'Delhi Belly' for adults, has abusive language: Aamir

Kolkata, June 25 : Bollywood superstar Amir Khan Saturday said his next film "Delhi Belly", would have lot of abusive language and is a film for adults.

Aamir Khan, Delhi Belly
"Delhi Belly is a funny film and precisely a comedy. But one word of caution here. The film has an adult certification. It's not meant for children. We had applied for this certification mainly because of abusive language in the film," he said while talking to media persons at a programme on the Bengali version of "Kaun Banega Crorepati"

"I am saying this in front of you to inform the audience that here is a film which has abusive language. I respect sentiments of the people. There are certain people who may not be comfortable with the abusive language. It is not for children," he added.

Aamir, who has also done a item number in the film, said the song was a tribute to the disco era of Indian cinema during the 1980s.

"It is a tribute to the disco era of eighties led by Bappida (Bappi Lahiri), Mithunda who was known as disco king and Govinda," he said.

Aamir also sent out a warning at the item girls of Bollywood by saying that the era of item girls are over and now it's time for item boys to rock.

"And as far as the item dance done by me is concerned, it is a warning to Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone that the era of item girls are over now its time for item boys," chuckled the perfectionist of Bollywood.

When asked why he is taking so much time to release the film 'Delhi Belly', the 46-year-old actor confessed that he is not a multi-tasker.

"Earlier I was busy with 'Peepli Live', then I gave attention to 'Dhobi Ghat' and after that I took up 'Delhi Belly'. My problem in life is I am not able to do multi tasking. I am only able to do one thing at a time," said Aamir.

Salman tries to ape Aamir’s mantra

Salman Khan shot a humourous promo for his production, ‘Chillar Party’ like Aamir did for ‘Delhi Belly’

Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Delhi Belly, Chillar Party, Bollywood Gossips
Salman Khan seems to be learning a lot from his friend Aamir Khan, especially with respect to the craft that Aamir excels in: film promotion. Aamir, producer of ‘Delhi Belly’ had shot a promo with the lead cast of the film, Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunaal which created a lot of uproar. So, now Salman has decided to follow the same to promote his film, ‘Chillar Party’.

In the Delhi Belly promo, Aamir gets into a dialogue with the lead trio about the film and similarly Salman also gets into humorous dialogue with the kids around the film. Salman Khan’s signature style has been to remove his t-shirt as he has famously done so in most of blockbuster films. And the actor-turned-producer does the same in this cute and funny promo he shot for Chillar Party that he’s rumoured to have written as well.

The kids in the film were only too excited to see their favourite actor, Salman, shed his shirt and joined him by removing their shirts too. The promos feature Salman having a light-hearted conversation with the kids in the film whose characters names are Encyclopedia to Jhangia, Akram, Secondhand, Panauti, Silencer, Aflatoon, Shaolin and Fatka.

Here’s an extract from the promo:

Salman: "Tu chaddi kyun nahi pehenta?"
Jhangya: "Main aap ko kabhi personal sawal poochta hoon?
Sk "Nahi."
Jhangya: "Toh aap bhi mat poochon, topic change!"

Want to be number one item boy: Aamir Khan

Mumbai, June 23 : What is Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan's latest dream? He wants to be the top notch item boy of the film industry!

Aamir Khan, Delhi Belly, Imran Khan, Item Boy, Bollywood Gossips

“I want to be the number one item boy of the industry,” Aamir, who has done his first item song “I love you, like I hate you” for his home production "Delhi Belly", told reporters and also thanked them for inspiring him.

“The recent questioning from media, whether I am doing a song sequence in the film or not? Such things made me ponder. So, I must say that media has inspired me to do the item number,” added the 46-year-old, who says it is a tribute to the 1980's discos.

The song has recently been added to Abhinay Deo directed adult comedy, set for July 1 release.

“It's a tribute to the 1980's discos. My hair-do is inspired by Amitabhji and I sport chest hair, just like Anil Kapoorji. The dance moves are similar to Mithunda as I am a big fan of him. And my attire will be a mix of Govinda, Amitabhji and other actors from that time,” he said.

High heels in 'Delhi Belly', a nightmare for Vir Das

Mumbai, June 19 : Dancing might be a piece of cake for some, but for comedian-actor Vir Das it was altogether a different ball game. When he was filming his solo song "Jaa chudail" for his film "Delhi Belly", he had to groove wearing five-and-a-half inch platform heels.

Delhi Belly,Imran Khan,Aamir Khan
The song is said to be a tribute to the dancing style of yesteryear actor Mithun Chakroborty with influences from the style of great American singer Elvis Presley.

"I'm an item girl now," joked Vir.

"I didn't really realize till now the power Hindi film songs have and I never understood what a solo song can do for you. Now I know. I heard people calling me Chudail on the road. I was disturbed and flattered at the same time," Vir told IANS in an interview.

For the 32-year-old, dancing doesn't come very easily; hence he was petrified when he got to know that a senior choreographer like Farah Khan will be choreographing the song composed by Ram Sampath.

"Farah Khan has choreographed the song. I was terrified because she is a senior and I had heard that she is quite a task master; so I rehearsed for 14 days to get the steps right," said Vir.

"I watched videos to get the style right. I saw more Elvis videos than Mithun videos because I have grown up watching Mithun; so I know those moves," he said.

"It was a good experience but the most difficult part was that I had to dance in five-and-a-half inch platform heels, which was nothing less than a nightmare. The outfit was made of pure latex , so there was no ventilation. But overall I had fun. Farah is amazing to work with," he added.

In "Delhi Belly", Vir is playing a pivotal role along with Imran Khan and Kunal Roy Kapoor. The film directed by Abhinay Deo is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and is slated to hit screens July 1.

Throwing light on his role in the film, Vir, who has worked in films like "Mumbai Salsa", "Love Aaj Kal" and "Badmaash Company" among others, informed: "I play a graphic designer in the film. He is a very frustrated, angry person. He is a bit of an underdog. He is broke, physically, romantically and emotionally. Horrible things happen to him. I got attracted towards the character because usually I have played guys who are happy, witty and active, but this was different."

When asked about his interaction with Aamir during the shoot of the film and any tips that Aamir might have given him, Vir said: "Aamir never came on the sets."

"I saw Aamir at the workshops and he never came on the sets. He is a kind of producer who wants to make sure that you are ready before stepping in and once he feels that you are ready, then you don't see him. My only interaction with him was during the workshops," he said.
