Mumbai, July 14 : It seems it's Emraan Hashmi or nothing for Vishal Bhardwaj's film "Daayan"! After some actresses said no to working with the actor in the supernatural thriller, the filmmaker made it very clear that Emraan was his top priority.
"Both Vishal and (producer) Ekta Kapoor believe Emraan is the fulcrum of the script and the only non-negotiable member of the cast."
"Vishal thinks Emraan has huge potential. He wanted to cast Emraan in '7 Khoon Maaf' in the role that Irrfan Khan eventually did but it didn't work out.
"Emraan is in demand with several topnotch filmmakers. Rohan Sippy who wanted to cast him in 'Dum Maro Dum' is casting the actor in his next. Dibakar Banerjee chose Emraan at the cost of losing Katrina Kaif in his new film 'Shanghai'," the source added.
Vishal will shoot "Daayan" in the next couple of months.
The hunt for the three leading ladies is almost over.
Said a source close to the project: "The minute it was made known that all the three leading ladies' parts were equally important, a queue of girls showed up at Vishal's doorstep."
The last we heard, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chitrangda Singh and Mahie Gill had been shortlisted for the three parts

Vidya Balan to play ‘Daayan’ in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next
Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will now be cast in the upcoming movie ‘Daayan’ which will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The director opted for Vidya despite ditching the actress for the sequel of the hit movie ‘Ishqiya’.
Vidya’s absence in the movie had shocked the industry as well as the actress. The ‘Hey Baby’ actress had received several appreciations for the movie, but was unfortunately not retained for the sequel.
Sources from the production unit had said that earlier actress Rani Mukherji was approached for the role, but had rejected the offer when she learnt that Emraan Hashmi was to play the lead role.
‘Daayan’ is a project which will be jointly made by Vishal and Ekta Kapoor. The makers are currently finalizing the cast of the movie. The story of the movie is about a man played by Emraan, who is in a relationship with three women and one of them is a witch (Daayan). This makes it obvious that the female role of the movie would indeed be challenging for the actress. Vidya and Bhardwaj had a long discussion over the script of the movie and the actress had reportedly loved it and is keen on doing the role. Vidya has loved the role but the problem of dates between the makers and the actress persists.

Bollywood movie ‘Murder’ is still fresh in the minds of the audience, due to the sensual content of the movie. Director Mahesh Bhatt is always known for adding some amount of sexual content in his movies, and he doesn’t plan on disappointing his fans in Murder 2.
Jacqueline Fernandez and Emaraan Hashmi in Murder 2
Such a trend will continue to be there in his movies and the sequel of Murder is only going to raise the bar. To make sure that the audience does not get bored of the same old sexual content, the film maker has this time roped in Jacqueline Fernandez for the female lead opposite the serial kisser Emraan Hashmi.
To add to the excitement, Bhatt has said that so far his films had lacked sizzle, but the sequel of Murder will definitely break all barriers. There are cross dressers, prostitutes who will beyond their guidelines to offer pleasure to the audience in Asia – who are gradually opening up to the increasing explicit content in Bollywood movies.
Actor Emraan has said that the writer of the movie is Shagufta Rafique, who was once a bar dancer herself. Moreover, the actor said that to get in to his role more deeply, he has even visited strip joints, massage parlors and dance bars. The actor had even said that the girls who are involved in to the sex trade aren’t actually having fun and just make their customers believe that the pleasure is real.
Well, we hope that Murder 2 lives up to the hypes, and gives the audience a memorable and blockbuster movie.

Emraan and Jacqueline share a lot of bedroom scenes in the film Murder 2!
Director Mahesh Bhatt who is all set to screen his upcoming movie ‘Murder 2’ all over the world on the 8th of July feels that the film is filled with a lot of erotic scenes which will set the screen on fire and would even break the previous records of bold scenes. The movie which stars Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles is expected to share a lot of bedroom scenes in the film and it can be obviously felt that ‘Murder 2’ will be the boldest of all films.
Both the stars have shared a great chemistry on screen and Jacqueline’s acting in the film is much more sensuous and erotic than Bipasha Basu’s sensuousness in the film Jism which even starred John Abrahm in the lead role. According to Mahesh Bhatt, Jacqueline has given a surprising performance and feels that this film will give a new turn to Indian Cinema which will be more bold and sexy.
The original film ‘Murder’ starred Emraan Hashmi, Mallika Sherawat and Ashmit Patel in the lead roles. Both the movies had given the term eroticism a new definition which wasn’t accepted by the Indian society but with the passage of time such movies have gained a lot of admiration.

Music review of film 'Murder 2'
Film: 'Murder 2'; Music Directors: Harshit Saxena, Mithoon, Sangeet Haldipur and Siddharth Haldipur; Lyricists: Sayeed Qadri, Kumaar and Mithoon; Singers: Harshit Saxena, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kshitij Tarey, Saim, Mithoon, Mohammed Irfan, Arijit, Sangeet Haldipur and Roshni Baptist; Rating: ** - X-factor missing.
The music of Vishesh Films' movies is generally striking and the songs of their 2004 release 'Murder' were tremendously trendy and so high expectation from the album of 'Murder 2' is not too much to ask for. But the film's tracks, although not bad, do not succeed in winning the listeners.
A compilation of eight tracks, the album is packed with love songs.
The flavor of romance starts with the first song 'Hale dil', composed and crooned by Harshit Saxena. It has nothing new that can electrify music lovers.
It also has an acoustic version, which has a soft rock touch.
'Aa zara', composed by Sangeet and Siddharth Haldipur, is a reasonably paced song. It has a intense feel about it and Sunidhi has appropriately captured the mood with her powerful voice that gives the song an edge.
The track has a remix version too.
Next is 'Aye khuda', which has been composed by Mithoon, who also goes behind the mike along with Kshitij Tarey and Salim Bhat to sing the song. There is a strong Sufi influence and the song has a least musical arrangement. Focus is on vocals and singers impress with their high pitch. It is worthy to listen.
'Aye khuda' also has a re-mixed version.
Another track composed by Mithoon is 'Phir mohabbat' that has Mohammed Irfan, Arijit and Saim Bhat behind the mike. The slow-paced song with less music is not instantaneously likeable because of average lyrics, but it slowly grows on you thanks to likeable composition.
Sangeet and Siddharth's second composition in the album is 'Tujhko bhoolna', which is full of techno beats. The moderately paced number, sung by Sangeet and Roshni Baptist, is average and offers nothing great to the listeners in terms of composition.
In general 'Murder 2' soundtrack has nothing unusual and it is not even a patch on the music of 'Murder'.

Do Vote for 'Murder 2' posters, request by Mahesh Bhatt!
Indian filmmakers are going online for various tasks like finalizing the title of a movie or arranging for finance. Producer Mahesh Bhatt is also using social networking sites to finalize the main poster for his forthcoming thriller 'Murder 2'.
Directed by Anurag Basu, 'Murder', starring Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi, was a big hit when released in 2004. For 'Murder 2', Mohit Suri has wielded the megaphone and Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandes has replaced Mallika in the film that hits the theatres July 8.
'We've five posters, but every film has one main poster besides other publicity posters. There was a disagreement between me and Mohit Suri on the main poster of the film. We thought the best way out is to show all the posters to the people of the country and let them select one,' told Bhatt.
Surfers can view the posters on facebook and vote for their favorite one.
'Mohit and I'll blindly go ahead with the people's opinion,' told Bhatt. He added, ‘At the end of the day, posters are for the people, so let them tell us which the best poster of the lot is. In fact, now we are eager to know which one people will select.'
Bhatt had previously uploaded the 'Murder 2' trailer on his Twitter page and had tweeted, 'This promo has created a rift within our group. We have extreme views. Please watch this and send me your feedback.'
