Anwar Al Awlaki

Anwar Al Awlaki: The United States Department of Defense has declined to comment on reports saying an USA drone missile attack in Yemen targeted but failed to kill one of Al-Qaeda's most powerful figures. The strike on May five in the southern Yemen state of Shabwa is reported to have targeted the America.-born radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, the head of Al-Qaeda in the Arabia. Yemeni officials have said the strike missed al-Awlaki, but killed 2 brothers who were trusted to have been Al-Qaeda militants. Al-Awlaki is suspected of playing a role in inspiring new attacks by Islamists, admitting the Fort Hood, Texas, shootings in Nov 2009 that killed thirteen folks, and the failed attempt to bomb an airliner over Detroit in December 2009. The attack in Yemen just day’s later Al-Qaeda chief Usama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan on May 2 in a raid by America commandos. Anwar Al Awlaki
