Speed Channel


Speed Channel:Gatorade Duels 2011. The Daytona 500 is not only a sight to behold in person: you can get a good show - or better - on television. With a front cover of tomorrow's race - 9:00 p.m. ET on both ESPN2 and Speed Channel - fans will share information leading to NASCAR Sprint Cup race on February 20, 2011. For diehard fans of the Sprint Cup, Daytona 500 starts with the double Gatorade Thursday, February 17. The qualifying races, which define the order of the Daytona 500, will be released by speed. Speed Channel coverage begins at 1 pm ET with a pre-race program, with the first of two races around 2 pm ET. Coverage after the race will also air on SPEED beginning at 5:30 p.m. In the days before 500, fans can take additional steps to NASCAR races on television. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be held Friday night at Daytona International Speedway. The pre-race action will begin at 7 pm ET on speed, with the race at 7:30 EST on the same channel. Sprint Cup Series final practice for the Daytona 500 can be seen Saturday at 10:30 ET on speed, while coverage of the NASCAR Nationwide Series career starts at noon on ESPN2 and the show before the race, the Nationwide race begins at 1:15 p.m. ET.  Sunday morning on the roof of the two channels start to 9:00 ET. NASCAR Now, ESPN2 and SPEED NASCAR previous results and butter for a head to head live on the tracks, and garage. FOX, which sends the Daytona 500 this year, coverage may be underway in ET pre-race show, followed by the checkered flag on a pm ET. After the race, ESPN2 will broadcast NASCAR Now, 8:00 ET, claiming SPEED NASCAR Victory Lane.  As part of the pre-race festivities include a concert by country music superstar Brad Paisley. Paisley, the champion of the Country Music Association artist of the year, will perform three songs before the "Great American Race," promoting their forthcoming album is country music.
